Le Centre Pompidou appealed to Dalbin (about whom we have already spoken in October 2004, see the link)
to represent the relation of the design and the music in their
exhibition on the contemporary design. Leaning on devices conceived for
the emonstration and choice of existing projects, the exhibition
proposes a reflection on the values of the design. The exhibition
organizes a narrative and sensory route where are interrogated the
current field of the design, the relation and experiment in the contact
of the object, the lines of flight of the imagination and the power of
seduction of the object, as well as the recent numeric(digital)
developments of the graphics.
Dalbin present "five elements":
five works of visual music consisted by five groups of international
artists. These original creations will be diffused on five screens
synchronized.

This
image is a part of an installation understanding five works of "visual
music" around five elements. Uleshka Asher worked at first in London in
Web design and the animation. Ryotaro Bordini Chikushi alias Ill
Pitecantropo Erreto is the author of exhibitions of conceptual art. It
is in Tokyo, in 2001, that both artists join under the name of "Jin",
the Chinese ideogram to define a person, an individuality and a
personality.

The
brand new gallery La B.A.N.K for contemporary art opens its space with
a group-show composed by 9 French and international artists. The
exhibition "Dreams are my reality" deals with the
perception of the reality, the dimension of the reverie in the
representation and gives a large share to hyperrealistic works.
The German painter, Franck Bauer, shows a Sasha too beautiful to be
true and a world where even a burial looks like a splendid summer day.
The Canadian Kate Waters captures the light in each and every detail of her photographic paintings.
New York, the very symbol of the American dream, is imagined by the
Japanese Masaaki Sato in the form of spectacular newsstands, overloaded
with information, whereas for Curt Hoppe it's the memory of anonymous,
fleeting and alluring passerby.
The tacky and mystic icons of Lili Fantozzi and the
head-in-the-clouds installation of Sylvain Ciavaldini offer a moment of
contemplation, between Sky and Earth, and point out the deluding needs
for landmarks (religious or geographic), sometimes searched in vain.
In her paintings of watercolor appearance, Katia Bourdarel revives
the tales of childhood, Peau d'âne, the Little Red Hood, a universe
that vacillates between the enchanting of imagination and the fear of
being devoured.
In her embroideries, Corinne Marchetti fantasizes, with humor, and
pictures herself living with Matthew Barney or being kidnapped by Paul
McCarthy.
Last but not least, the Austrian director Virgil Widrich gathers a
Hollywood dream team for his short cut Fast film, an incredible race
stunning with technical and artistic feat.
